Aerospace
Lynch Metals, Inc. stocks the most comprehensive of coil and sheet products for manufactures of Heat Transfer products used in the aerospace markets. For smaller heat transfer jobs that are dip brazed, we stock eight different gauges in both 21F and 22F alloy classification. Gauges in stock begin as low as .020" and as heavy as .250" thick, and all are leveled to 36" wide and 72" long.

For larger production runs, material can be produced to your specific length and width while reducing scrap and improving efficiency. Small mill minimums are available for special alloy combinations and/or cladding thickness.
Parting Sheet
Lynch Metals, Inc. offers several products for parting sheet applications. Brazing sheet # 8 (3003 core with 4004 cladding on two sides), is stocked in several gauges in both flat sheet and coil. For higher strength requirements, Brazing Sheet # 14 (6951 core with 4004 cladding on two sides) is available. We also offer a three layer parting sheet product called Multiclad, which offers several advantages over products that only offer two layers.

Multiclad™
Multiclad is a three layer product that offers several advantages over brazing sheet
products consisting of only two layers. By adding an interlayer between the cladding and
the core layers, multiclad has reduced the silicon penetration that occurs during brazing.
The 3003 interlayer inhibits silicon from the cladding to diffuse into the core material.
By eliminating this process, more molten braze material is available for fillet formation.
This product has proven to benefit our customers by reducing leak rates while allowing them
to down gauge their product due to Multiclad's stronger heat treatable core. By using
Multiclad to down gauge the parting sheet, the direct benefit is an overall reduction in
the critical weight of the part.
As a direct result the following benefits occur:
1) Improved brazeability due to more braze material available.
Reduced risk of intergranular corrosion and silicon penetration.
2) Improved strength of the finished product., since AA6000 alloys can
be substituted for lower strength AA3000 alloys in the core material.
3) By using multiclad instead of a non-heat treatable alloy, you will
increase the yield strength by a factor of up to five. This will offer
the possibility of reducing metal thickness.
Compared to common heat treatable alloys Multiclad gives the same strength using a
thinner sheet or strip. Multiclad gives enough braze cladding to ensure tight joints
and an unaffected core to provide excellent corrosion resistance.

Fin Stock
Several alloys are used to form fins for heat exchangers. Lynch Metals, Inc. has the largest inventory of brazing alloys in the world. Items are stocked in wide width coil ranging from 12.00" to 48.00". These coils can be precision slit to your specific width, therefore eliminating scrap and the cost of processing. By processing each order individually, we can supply you with the exact quantity required within 3-5 days after release. Material is specially packaged to prevent damage in transit.
